3D Kirby paper diorama

I think this 8x8 Kirby piece turned out really cute.  It's hard to tell in this picture, but the colored landscape is actually raised three layers off of the black background for a unique 3D effect.  This is one of the new pieces that will be debuting at the Cimarron Springs Fall Festival.

Stranger Things 11 8x8 3-D paper diorama

This 3-D 8x8 piece features three versions of 11 from Stranger Things.  

Zen Intergalactic Ninja convention exclusive cover

I am excited to announce that my first comic book cover was published by 1First Comics and it will be premiering at this year's San Diego Comic Con!

I created the art for a convention exclusive variant of "Zen Intergalactic Ninja," a comic that has been going since 1987 and has been the subject of a line of action figures and a NES video game. The cover depicts the first level of the Nintendo game where Zen has to protect flowers from the effects of acid rain.

There is a limited run of 250 issues of the comic and it will be available at 1First comic's booth at SDCC booth #2001. I will have 30 copies of the comic which I will be selling at this year's Game On Expo in Phoenix. Please contact me if you would like me to reserve you a copy.

This 3-D commission featuring the Thing from Fantastic Four was done for this year's Phoenix Comic Fest.

Tank Girl 3-D pieces

Check out these two hand cut 3-D tank girl pieces. The 8x8 was a commission where I was asked to recreate a World War Tank Girl comic cover in 3-D. i The smaller piece is modeled after the first tank design from the first run of Tank Girl comics.

NSP instagram video with my art!

Game On Expo video game 3-D paper dioramas

I am proud to announce that I have an artist alley table at this year's Game On Expo.  While preparing for the event I created these 3-D paper dioramas which feature Samus from Metroid, the prince from Katamari Damacy, the first colossus battle scene from Shadow of the Colossus, and Eevee along with all of the eeveelutions.  I hope to see you at the Game On Expo in August.  For more information, click HERE.

Jeff Ellison Art at Phoenix Comic Fest 2018

     Hello everyone!  I am super excited to announce that my art will be available at three different booths at this year's Phoenix Comic Fest!
     Booth AA328 is my official table where I will have all of my original art for sale along with copies of Obsidian Blues which features my first published cover.  I will be accompanied by author, J. S. Miller who will be signing copies of his novel.  He will be at my table Friday through Sunday.
     Booth AA312 is the home of "The Relic" where you can find copies of Deadly Liaisons at Sea: The Relic Stones book 1 featuring my cover art.  Tessa Renalds will be there autographing her book, and you can jump across the aisle if you would like me to sign it as well.
     Booth 473 is the official "Carnal Comics" table where you can find my first published comic art in Demi The Demoness: Rarities.  In a partnership with Carnal Comics, there is a limited edition set of only two 3-D Demi pieces that are numbered and signed by myself and the creator of Demi the Demoness, S.S. Crompton!  If that wasn't enough, the original 3-D prototype for the published Demi piece will be for sale at my booth and it comes with a signed copy of the comic.
     I hope to see everyone at the con!

They will be available at The Relic booth at AA312 which is right across the aisle from the Jeff Ellison Art booth in Artist Alley! I was asked by the talented Scott Miller to create the cover for his first book, Obsidian Blues.  This will be my first published work, not to mention my first time being a cover artist.

This is the preliminary sketch that will be used to create the 3-D piece.

Phoenix Comicon 3-D Proposal

During last year’s Phoenix Comicon, I was honored to take part in a friend’s plan to propose to his now fiancé. A few months before the convention, Dan messaged me that he was going to propose to his girlfriend during the event when they cosplayed as the Joker and Harley Quinn. Dan was going to pop the question to Kailyn in the Hall of Heroes then come down and pick up a custom piece from my booth commemorating the event
.
I’ve known the couple for a while so when I designed a 3-D piece I predicted how the proposal would look and how Kailyn would react. If you compare the photo of the proposal to the 3-D piece, I think I did a pretty good job especially when you take in mind that it was built months before the convention.

I wish Dan and Kailyn the best in their upcoming wedding!
