Kio pond #3

 Here is an new original 3D paper Koi pond design.  It is #3 in the series.  Each time I create this piece, I sketch out a new pattern for the fish and then I shred the design so I cannot recreate it again guaranteeing that each Kio is 100% unique.

Anniversary gifts

 I am really excited about this idea.  Here is the first in a series of hand cut 3D paper Koi ponds.  I plan on making each fish unique with a different pattern for each recreation making every Koi pond different.  The back of the illustration board will list the koi type.

Father's Day silhouettes

 This 12x12 3D piece celebrating mexican heritage is the largest commission I have ever dad the pleasure of working on.

Phoenix Comicon 3-D Proposal

During last year’s Phoenix Comicon, I was honored to take part in a friend’s plan to propose to his now fiancé. A few months before the convention, Dan messaged me that he was going to propose to his girlfriend during the event when they cosplayed as the Joker and Harley Quinn. Dan was going to pop the question to Kailyn in the Hall of Heroes then come down and pick up a custom piece from my booth commemorating the event

I’ve known the couple for a while so when I designed a 3-D piece I predicted how the proposal would look and how Kailyn would react. If you compare the photo of the proposal to the 3-D piece, I think I did a pretty good job especially when you take in mind that it was built months before the convention.

I wish Dan and Kailyn the best in their upcoming wedding!

3-D portrait

Now that Christmas has passed, I can finally post these pieces! These two 8x8 3-D paper dioramas were commissioned as a Christmas gift and they feature the customer's parents. I was also asked to frame the original reference picture in matching colors. It's hard to tell, but the photograph floating in the second frame is raised the same distance from the background as the 3-D piece.
